Once you are able to make a modded controller, you can use it for playing games or even sell it to someone who wants to practice before buying a new one.
How To Make A Modded Controller
1) Opening the Casing – The first step is to open the casing of your regular controller. This means that you will have to take it apart. You will need a screwdriver in order to remove some screws from the back of the controller. Usually, there are seven screws at the back of a controller. One of these seven screws will be behind the battery, sort of hidden. So make sure you look back these before taking it apart. The buttons of your controller should be facing the towards the bottom when you are opening it. .
2) Location of the switch – The next step is to drill a hole where you want a switch. This hole will be permanent and therefore, you should be sure about the location of this switch. Once you are done with drilling, mount the switch in the hole that you just drilled. Make sure the pins are not damaged when you are mounting the switch. Lock the switch in its place with a nut.
3) Wiring – Now cut the wire in half. This will give you two short wires. Both ends of these wires should be stripped. Carefully solder one side of a wire to one side of the switch pin. Do the same for the other wire and solder it to the second switch pin. One side of the switch should be soldered to the middle pin on the controller’s trigger. You will see two red points on the circuit board. These will be near the top. The other switch should be soldered to either of red points.
4) Closing the Casing – Once you are done, simply put your controller back together as you opened it. Here you are with a modded Xbox 360 controller.
